creative cooking

Hello!!!! It's been some time since we have talked! We have been busy with birthdays, trying to sell a house, enjoying the beautiful spring weather, planting flowers in the garden, stopping by the Cherry Street Farmer's Market last Saturday for the first market of the season...and making CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!

We've been playing with the idea of illustrating some of our most favorite recipes for awhile now. Since we love illustrating and cooking/baking, we thought how fun it would be to combine the two! We are in the beginning stages of sketching but thought I would share what we have so far!

Of course the first recipe that popped into my mind...our beloved chocolate chip cookie! What is better than biting into a warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven chocolate chip cookie (heavy on the chocolate chips) and following it with a sip of cold millk?? NOTHING! ...except licking some of the oh-so-good batter out of the mixing bowl!

I would LOVE to know how many batches of this recipe mom, meg and I have made together over the years! I can remember coming in the front door from school and smelling that wonderful smell from the kitchen and knowing just what I would be having for my after school snack! The ingredients for this recipe are always on hand...just in case!
