45!

An ode to Ali~my amateur poem
Happy Birthday Allison Kay~
Hope you have a special day
Everything should go your way
Breakfast brought on a silver tray
Not much traffic, no delay
Skies are blue, far from gray
Eat lots of sweets, yes you may
Sun shines down its golden ray
All day long you have your say
Not much work and time to play
For your dinner you won't pay
Skip the chicken, have filet
Happy memories with you will stay
All the best for you I pray
My sweet sister, Allison Kay

p.s.-thanks for having Kay for a middle name

Yucando

We just got back from St. Louis for a little getaway while I was on my Spring Break. We were so lucky to have  BEAUTIFUL spring-like weather while we were there spending time with some of our favorite people! We had so much fun being outside, eating delicious food, listening to Finn become quite the talker, laughing at all the cute things Ellie says, and just being with one another. Time always goes by too quickly when we are together- something that I never get used to!

While we were there we got to spend some girl time at the cutest little art studio in Webster Groves called Yucando. You can visit their website here. Just walking in the doors- you instantly feel inspired to create! It always takes us quite some time to decide on what project we want to work on and look at all the fun supplies that they have to offer! We sat there for hours working on our creations together- so much fun!

If you are in the Webster Groves area- make sure you stop in and take time to create!

if these walls could talk...

Actually they do! In our new home we had a large wall that needed something interesting to adorn it.  It needed something that would "make a statement", so I stitched, sewed, stenciled and drew some art that could make this wall talk to us. I have gotten the phrases from bumper stickers, pinterest and cards. I have one that rotates with the seasons - "You Warm My Heart" is about to retire for a more springy piece. I just completed a sampler style piece that represents our local farmer's market that we love to visit each Saturday.

Just a little food for thought...

a look at lavender

Lavender blue dilly, dilly
Lavender green
If I were king dilly, dilly
I'd need a queen...
