we're bowled over

Oh how we love these colorful Biscuit bowls from Anthropologie. Couldn't resist getting one in each color! Each morning when we reach for a bowl for our yogurt or cereal, we think, Am I in a mint mood or a sunny yellow mood today? We may take it too far and ask ourselves, Would those berries look more appetizing in a tangerine bowl or the aqua bowl?

Let us show you what we mean...

"Life is just a chair of bowlies." - Mary Engelbreit

strawberries and aqua - always a good combo

seashells and coral - makes sense!

mint chip - don't mind if I do!

sparkly tangerine

sea glass in the deep blue

cheerful buttons

sweet cherries with a dash of lime

sprinkles and sunshine make us smile

chocolate and green - revives us!

when life gives you a lemon bowl - make limeade!

Patiently waiting for a pink bowl to appear at Anthropologie...

Happy Birthday Mom/Grama~the first Jane

The first Jane was our mother and Grama. Today we celebrate the memories we have of her; a strong woman that we are so thankful to have had in our lives. Jane was married to Rex, a wonderful and devoted man that stood steadfastly by her side. They taught us what love and marriage is all about. She has 3 daughters-Diana, Allison and Carolyn.  She has 4 grandchildren-Megan, Emily, Ellie, and Finn. She has 2 sisters -Carol and Clodie. And from these women came 5 nieces and 1 nephew. Lots of girls!! She taught us the importance of sister relationships and family, that laughter is the best medicine, and how to show love.

She was:
a pianist, a poet and a beauty queen

We think of her when we:
bake gingerbread cookies
hear Celine Dion
play the piano
see a yellow convertible
decorate for the holidays
make her famous doughnuts
drink an Irish coffee
lay on the beach in Sarasota
need to be strong
walk for MS
celebrate special occasions together
look at each other

We love you and miss you!

Crazy about MAPS!

One of our ElizaJane products is MAPS! We originally started with Wedding Maps. When we were planning Emily's wedding, we had many guests coming in from out of town and wanted to provide them with a custom map that we could either slip in the Save-the-Date, invitation, or even welcome bags. They were personalized with illustrations showing rehearsal dinner spot, ceremony, reception, lodging, and favorite restaurants of the bride and groom that guests may enjoy while they are in town. We also included the bride and groom's first home, alma maters, where he proposed, and even parks, aquariums, museums, etc. that guests may like to visit. Below is the map from Emily's wedding:

Megan had a destination wedding at one of our favorite family vacation spots- Sarasota, Florida. We were excited to share the places that have become special to us through the years to wedding guests.

What a unique way to personalize your wedding!

The maps can be as detailed or as simple as the bride wishes!

In December 2008, we took a Sister's Weekend (more to come) in NYC to take in all of the holiday sights, sounds, and tastes of the Big Apple at Christmastime. It was such a special trip, we wanted to capture all our memories and laughs that we made. So, a map was born...

Besides weddings and trips, these custom maps could depict a new home or... for the graduate-a map that commemorates their college town.

What could we map for you?
